Gun owners: What are you doing to stop Sandy Hook from happening AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN?

LOOK AT THESE PICTURES!

You want to preserve your supposed "right" to own a gun? Deal with the responsibility to promote security that goes with it. Because whatever you've been doing, it's been woefully ineffective AND YOU HAVE FAILED MISERABLY!

If you're a gun owner who has opposed any kind of gun control, who shouts down any discussion restricting guns, who runs down gun control advocasy groups & campaigns against candidates who support gun control, then the blood of the victims of Sandy Hook - and all the other mass murders that have happened - is on your hands. Fuck You.

They think the only to deal with gun violence is after the fact, with prosecutions and prison.

Ok, fine, be that way you freaks. But we want equal penalties for gun owners whose toys fall into killers' hands because they didn't lock them away.

next year most definitely.

We will never stop these shootings. BUT what we can try to do is limit the type of firepower these nut jobs have access to. Better mental health screenings and strict gun control.

The time is now for the discussion. Tell Ted Nugent to go into the woods and jack off while holding his SKS while true adults try to discuss what can be done about the insane killing of innocent people in this country.

Tell Wayne LaPierre to shut the fuck up already. Even though the NRA has been resoundingly silent after each senseless slaughter, you all know he'll be running off at the lips as soon as a hint of gun control is spoken by a representative. Until then, he has Ghomert, some idiot Repub in Oregon, and Ted fucking poacher Nugent to run off at the mouth for him.

That's the common thread of those mass murderers: their targets are disproportionately women and children.

These so-called men who stockpile weapons think they have to arm themselves to the teeth--and kill, kill, kill--so they can feel like men. These are the same guys who pontificate about the "sanctity of innocent human life" when it comes to women and abortion, but when it comes to innocent little children who are already born, they think kids are expendable.

Keeping my guns secured and a watchful eye on my kids, and everyone elses kids for that matter.

And raising responsible children who value the rights of others, as I always have.

Calling me a murderer doesn't make it so, I'd put my life between any child and harm. You sound just like the anti-abortion nutballs with your broad brush.

These events break my heart just as much as yours, my kids are 3 and 5. I'm just as digusted by you capitalizing on this tragedy politically as you seem to be with the fact that I choose to exercise my "so called" constitutionally protected right.

A rather peculiar set of priorities, IMO.

Because as long as the guns are here these slaughters will continue.

People are politicizing this slaughter because politics is the tool we have to work with, gentle persuasion has gone absolutely nowhere.

A well regulated militia is necessary for the security of a free state. You have failed miserably at the "security" part.

See how easy that is? You can blame just ANYBODY, if common sense and reason don't apply.

I must conclude that every gun owner on DU is perfectly fine with the bloody human sacrifices of little children - not only these, but dozens more as well - just so they can satisfy their cultish cravings.
