Ever feel like the world is too much to bear?

Today is one of those days. Barely got out of bed and crying all day. Feels like 9-11 all over again, but worse when I see those babies' faces. Can't imagine what it is like for their families. I don't think I could go on.

(And don't sound the alarm. Just having trouble dealing right now. Nothing drastic planned.)

The world is terrible, but then I remember all the beauty in the world and all the people that I love.

Doesn't help that I have seasonal affective disorder and these are the shortest days of the year and it's been nothing but gray during the day.

Good news is boring. Go find a forest and walk in it. Or a park I have those days though, too.

and leave the radio, TV, Internet, etc. behind. I do take my cell phone with me, but I leave it turned off while I'm camping and would only use it for an emergency.

It's really nice to just get away from everything for a while. I can't imagine a year without a retreat.

I've seen enough of where this world is headed. I guess you just try to find bright spots in the little things around you but as far as the big picture... Yikes.
