(14,807 posts)re-write the mission statement and ditch the lobbyists. "Minority" that runs it and holds these actions and opinions is less than 25% of organization maybe. The media really should be pointing this out more. There is no rational reason therefore to pay any attention to their "statements" as "important". Dismantle and/or take it over? The whole NRA membership nationwide is they say 4.3 million. Our population is well over 300 million and cannot find the facts but maybe a third of these own guns???????? Dunno. But still....the mouthpieces for the NRA are an extremely small small number that control things.
Media should be focused upon singling out the lobbyists and the few nuts that keep sane Laws being passed in a stranglehold.
