OK, I'll grant that the Sandy Hook tragedy was a setback, but he had called off his public tour a week earlier. This is how it always goes. This is how it was with the ACA. And remember the "jobs act"? He made about 4 public events and then we never heard a peep out of him again on that.

This time he made a big deal about how he won the election, the people had spoken and by God, he was going to go to the streets and sell it to the people.

Then he started the meetings with Boehner, and once he started caving in, there was no more talk of going to the people. Too damn late for that now. He has already capitulated on the stuff that he was going to advance in his road trip -- and got NOTHING from Boehner in return. Hell, Boehner still walked away from the table.

Please Mr. President. Just shut your piehole and go over the "cliff" already. And before you open it again in January, please get some people around you who know something about negotiation. I never thought I'd say I actually miss Rahm Emannuel. God, help us.

Worst.
Negotiator.
Ever.

I'm about there with this guy.

Does he stand for ANYTHING?

He wouldn't stand behind Rice, when a week earlier he gave that famously "emotional" line about how wnybody attacking Rice had a problem with him. Yeah, that lasted about 20 hours.

Let's not make the mistake of assuming Obama is trying to "win" against the Republicans. He is their partner in crime.
