Always remember to thank a teacher

From the The Pragmatic Progressive Facebook Page: I had dinner last night with a friend of mine who happens to be a 6th grade teacher. He told me of all the plans he has in his head to help his students escape a shooting situation. Escape routes, moving objects in front of his door, and simply being constantly on alert, and I thought to myself, "What the hell does any of this have to do with teaching?" I could have wept.--Dave.

I always thank the poll workers when I vote, too.
