I'm confused. RE: Ann Romney...

Tagg said his father really did not want to run; it was his mom and the rest of the family who pushed him hard to run because he would be so good for the country. But, Ann said on Leno that she made a videotape after the 2008 primary run telling Mitt she was never doing it again, to which Mitt said that she said the same thing after each pregnancy.

Can we EVER get a straight story from the Romneys? They stand on both sides of EVERY issue. I think the only thing they stood firm on was in not releasing tax returns.

As Ambassador Joseph Wilson said to me personally: they lie like that just to keep in shape.

From what I've been reading it's perfectly okay and proper for Mormons to lie to non-Mormons to get their way. So anything out of the mouths of the Romneys should be looked upon as total fabrication. Seriously, Mitt spent many years and a lot of time in the primaries running for president for some one who didn't really want the office. I think the US electorate came down pretty firmly on if they believed he "would be so good for the country."

I believe Mitt wanted the title, but he didn't want the job. I can only imagine his anxiety attack on Nov. 7th if he had won. His aides would have been prying him out of the fetal position.

The only person who would have been celebrating is Ann. Talk about a person who felt entitled and wanted a new, prestigious address. I'm sure she did push Mitt to run. She had visions of state dinners in her head.

Now, she's just another very rich person in the US with no real political connections. She'll just have to use all that money to buy politicians the good old fashioned way.

When I first read about how Tagg went on and on saying that daddy never wanted to be President, blah blah blah. Who the hell is he kidding? Mitt has been running since 2006. Plus, if he never wanted to be President, wouldn't you think he would be RELIEVED that he didn't win, instead of having a total breakdown for about a month (talking bitter even after he lost, looking like he didn't clean himself for weeks on end, etc.) Never has a losing political candidate EVER disappeared into complete seclusion like Mitt and Ann did after November 6th. They have got to be the most inauthentic family I have ever seen!

7. They are all liars. Mitt Romney basically quit working and spent nearly 7 years running for this

office. He did nothing else. He suffered a humiliating defeat when he was assured that it was the Republican's turn for the Presidency and he was soundly defeated in the four states he calls home. I'm sure that smarts and he and the family are trying to save face. I don't recall anyone really clamoring for him as the candidate, even on the right. He was the choice of the business community. Also, I do think that there is truth to the "white horse prophecy" and I believe the Romney's embraced that as their destiny. They didn't think "God" would let Mitt down and would make him a master of the universe.

11. He didn't realize that running for office entailed actual "work".

Never mind the day-to-day actual responsibilities.

Willard wanted to be President - but his entitled ass wanted it to be handed to him on a platter - like his undergraduate degree, his law and MBA degrees and the Bain Capital deal.

He has never had to work/compete for anything in his entitled life.

Deal with your loss like a man, you pathetic creep.

You got shattered, and no spin can change the truth of how badly you wanted this.

No one would drive so far to the point of ethical oblivion (see the Jeep in China nonsense) without wanting to win desperately. No one would have destroyed potential opponent after potential opponent in the dirtiest manner possible who didn't want the job.

Won't they just go away?
