i was surprised they missed picketting all those first graders' funerals. or maybe they did and i missed it

Look, I dislike what they do completely and totally. They are vile scum that pervert the name "Christian" and they are in no way representative of the faith.

Having SAID that, I've come to the opinion that every freaking time anything sad/bad/tragic/emotional happens in this country the word goes out that THEY plan to picket and suddenly everybody is talking about them all over again--rehashing all the hate and stupidity they love to spew. Could we MAYBE just ignore those assholes and let them vanish into the obscurity they deserve?

Not only are you dealing with the initial event but then you have to face THOSE scumbags. Frankly, I'd have little to no remorse for anything that happened to that lot when they go into a town to spread their brand of hate and stupidity. (I'm kind of surprised that nothing has happened yet, if you want the truth...)

It just seems to me that all the hub-bub surrounding them feeds into what they want, including the internet and media buzz. They get all the attention they seek with nothing more than the whisper of a threat to show up. If they got little to no attention from the rest of the world THEN got gobsmacked by the locals maybe it'd be less fun for them, and less attractive to them as a political/public action. If local officials wanted to make it more difficult for them they probably could, and THAT would make it even less fun for them to do their wickedness.

I am very sorry if you are there in Webster. My heart goes out to you and your entire community.
