Stephen Harper's government denies trying to privatize VIA Rail Canada

And you know you can trust Emperor Harper, right?

The federal government is denying a published report that it is thinking about selling VIA Rail.

A spokesperson for Transport Minister Denis Lebel says privatizing the passenger rail service isn't on the table.

Pierre Florea, Lebel's press secretary, says all government spending is under review, but there are no plans to sell VIA Rail.

VIA Rail is a Crown corporation established in 1977 to run passenger trains. ...................(more)

Leo Strauss was a professor of political science at the School of Chicago where many neo conservatives were taught by him.

Strauss endorsed noble lies...that is is perfectly ok for politicians to lie to their constitutes.

I definitely do not trust Stephen Harper.

Except for the 'When I'm done with Canada, you won't recognize it' statement ..... that, I believe.

I suspected he read Ayn Rand as a pimply faced kid who used to get swirlies in high school, but is he really that deep into far-right ideology?

He and his Reform "Harper Government" buddies are ALL ABOUT privatizing everything, bit by bit. He has only told the truth and that was when he said "You will not recognize Canada when I'm finished with it".
