lesson: there is no such thing as a temporary tax-cut.

bu$h* / cheney knew that once that got their 'temporary' tax cuts implemented, they were essentially permanent.

to republicans, repealing a 'temporary' tax cut is a tax raise, plain and simple.

let's hope this was a lesson learned.

I don't see why they would learn this one.
The Bush Tax Cuts were only 10 years and only because of a surplus. Then they were only 2 more years, now they have to be permanent, at least for the 1%.
