Any cuts the GOP wants, must have increased tax revenue to pay for it. 1 to 1.

(28,158 posts)450K is going to be a hard sell for him, indeed. That's not even mentioning that the deal includes cuts to military spending which are a part of the short term sequester deal.
I have a feeling it's going to be a lot harder for the Republicans in the house to swallow than it is for we here at DU.

I will also worry my self sick when it comes to social service cuts, because that's just how I am.

Under the agreement all future deals must have a 1 to 1 ratio. This is a huge victory nobody is talking about. During the last "grand bargain" deal the GOP was turning down 3 to 1 ratios.
I really think some people here are are badly underestimating how good this deal is for us. By morning the GOP side is going to be far more upset than any of us are.

The Republicans would raise hell over such a stipulation, so much so that I doubt there would be enough Republican votes in the House to pass it, even with complete Democratic support.
