2. IIRC, with nothing to back it up at all, it still doesn't keep pace with Oz inflation.

I never made that much in my life but at one time I had a nice home and a new car and enough spending money to enjoy them both.

Of course that was before Dubya was anointed resident.

But then again why can't he? I don't know what his utilities cost, do you? How much is gas? Does it cost much to heat or cool his house?

Sorry I don't know the answers, I'm not an expert on Australia like you are.
