A GOP ex-candidate is seen skulking around his opponent's car and startles her enough to drop her laundry and run inside.
Then he goes on a tire slashing spree (in some kind of retribution for ?, him not having enough signatures to validate his own candidacy) and the slasher's opponent is quoted as saying, “People tried to tell me it was the work of Democrats, but I knew that wasn’t the case. This isn’t the normal kind of political retribution you might expect. This is scary.” Her statement suggesting that even republicans know that democrats are too "normal" to commit such crimes and that it had to be some wacko of their own.
Another of his victims, "lost almost 40 tires since discovering the first set flattened in June" but didn't initially contact the police because he thought it was random. Evidently in New Mexico, tire slashing is common enough to hardly bat an eye. Probably random and reason to not report it to police?
And ultimately being caught in the act, by two separate home surveillance cameras, is just amusing. those will be the images that Mr. Smith has associated with him the rest of his life.
