Question - from what I recall, the W tax cuts were pretty measly for us middle class working types

and mostly helped the rich and mega-rich.
does anyone know how much money those cuts saved, say, a couple making 50K and a couple making 100K?

Didn't think the Clinton rates were all that burdensome. I would gladly go back to those rates and pay a couple thousand more in taxes and have the wealthy pay more of their fair share. The fact that those making up to 450K will continue to pay thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars less in taxes really chaps my hide

an insider reported that when Bush was handed the draft of the tax cuts, Bush looked at it and said something like, "shouldn't we give the regular people something, too?" So something was added for the regular people. A little tax cut.

So exactly what do we think about Bush now? I still think he was an irresponsible menace to the country.
