Dear Senator Ron Johnson, I realize that you are in idiot...

Allow me to explain a few things to you about your appearance on Morning Joe this Morning. First, the President has nothing to lose! If you think that President Obama is going to allow you and your legislative terrorist to roll him at the beginning of his second term, you are wrong.

By now you and your party should have realized that he is not the character of a man who is going to allow his decisions to be made based on what YOU think his legacy might be.

Additionally, the President has already begun the process of cutting the deficit, 1.2 trillion? Remember that? Finally, next time on your rounds, please include cutting the DEFENSE budget in your line of things that need to be reduced, you and your party's ass is hanging out.

feelings...man, the self pity was rising fast on that segment of the show this morning.

I DID like Mika holding up the copy of Business Week with BABIES on the cover. I liked her snicker over that...good for you, Mika. More of that, please...

Was Feingold simply not trying that year?

Did he withdraw the day after the DFL was unable to nominate a replacement?

Was he busted in bed with a dead woman?

Was he busted in bed with a live man?

What on EARTH made the state of Wisconsin think it was a good idea to replace Feingold with ... RON JOHNSON??!

What.

The.

FUCK?!

(And yes, I've been holding onto this post since 2010.)

10. But Is That Really It, Though? Did Feingold Simply Not Try?

I'm really curious about this, because that seems like a blatant disregard of American welfare (small W, not the entitlement conservatives love to hate) to just make a half-assed attempt to hold the seat.

I can see a Ron Johnson being elected to the Senate out of Oklahoma or Alabama, where the Democratic "machine" is so inept appointing a six-year-old to chair the committee would be a step up. But WISCONSIN?? Where Feingold was allegedly beloved? I don't get it.

This is a serious question. It's really got me baffled. Can any Wisconsinites out there help me out here...?
