The one that that they said how the have been helping the rebuild of Joplin MO? Roughly a year and a half after the fact. They did it now in hopes that people there will have forgotten the fact that the insurance companies , not just AIG, did everything in there power not to pay off. There was not one person in the poor side of town that was mainly hit had anything good to say about any insurance company.
I was there, I was even left high with renter insurance. Why? I just moved to a larger place and it takes 30 days for them to hit a button and change the address.
I was not the only one. Many found out that many plans from many companies don't cover clean up. They were told it was total coverage and they were lead to believe that was the clean up to. That is till they were showed fine print that canceled that out. And if they did not get the property cleared they could not start the rebuild, that brought a new claus in. It was a nightmare.
This kind of thing makes me sick! The worse part it that these insurance companies will get away with it.

(40,416 posts)He's the CDS (credit default swap) guy. AIG's exposure was so large that if AIG went down, there wouldn't be any milk in the stores in a week or two.
Even Jeff Immelt, the CEO of General Electric, called Hank Paulson saying that he was having trouble funding his daily operations.
And, no. Cassano never came close to prison because he never broke any laws or regulations. It was all legal.

(14,120 posts)Some of the people in Joplin had damage that was done by debris, like 100 year old trees going strait through their roofs. The insurance guys were offering them the same deal.
