because too many people out there just don't realize the reason their paycheck went down was because the payroll tax holiday was over. It wasn't a tax increase, it was just the end of a tax break.

Wingnuts are making a huge mistake if they think it's proof that we're on the same side over tax cuts. We are absolutely not on the same side, the left wants a more progressive structure to raise revenue from people who can well afford it while providing a disincentive to the naked greed we've seen since Reagan screwed up the tax code.

For example, the pseudo-respectful "open letter to Joe Biden" from the uber-coward Ted Nugent.

What a deranged alternate-reality that pedophile has. When he was threatening Obama & Hillary I wonder if he was being "respectful" too?

They were on a fishing expedition.

Hey, we who are now retired paid that tax rate since around 1985. It's what you do. A country with an infrastructure and a social safety net takes money out of your paycheck to pay for those benefits.

If we want to cut our spending, we need to cut our military. That's where there is waste.

Obama should never, never have brought the payroll tax cuts in. They were a very bad idea from the beginning. He really opened himself up on this one.

Bad chess move. Your queen, Obama. Now rescue yourself.

Occasionally I get some uninformed wingnut quoting the Washington Times. I just laugh and remind the poor soul that Woodward and Bernstein worked for the Post. And the Post is a real paper.

Check out Freeperville next week. I'm gonna post the following (but I probably should change me screen-name):

Yeah know ... I've been dead set against this president since his election 4 years ago. I have been out of work since 2007 when the housing market imploded and I lost may construction labor job, so I've had a lot of time to think.

I'm coming to see that he ain't that bad.

When I was unemployed and it was the conservatives that kept threatening to cut the unemployment compensation that allowed me to feed my family and kept us in our home; it was Obama that kept fighting them.

When I passed the civil service test and was just about to get that job with the City, they put the job on hold because of a hiring freeze because the republicans said the government was broke. But then, those same republicans privatized the department, so I applied for that same job with the private company; it paid half the wages and had no benefits because there was no union.

When I fell behind on my mortgage, Obama came up with the HAPP and HOPE programs; while romney said not to "mess with the housing industry, it'll shake itself out."

Obama saved my brother's job in Detroit; while romney said, "let them go bankrupt." And if it wasn't for ObamaCare, my 22 year old niece would've died; but she alive because she could get on my brother's insurance, even though the insurance company dropped her 21 years ago because she met the life time pay-out cap because of her being born with a hole in her heart.

I could go on; but suffice it to say, Obama hasn't been as bad for America as I thought, and was told by fox and limbaugh and hannity and savage and beck, he would be. I'm done listening to those guys; but I'll keep watching bachmann and palin, because they're still hot.

Washington Times ... will you go to freeperville and write about my comment?

You're damned if you're a good Democrat objecting to the payroll 'tax' change, you're damned if you're a GOP troll objecting to it.

Cui bono?

For years DU's 'trolls' have been attempting to make members and Democrats in general look stupid. But suddenly M$M pick up a thread?

They could have had proof in Solid Gold with Platinum letters and still wouldn't believe it. I believe they are really just haters. Racists with a capital R, and like someone said, "You can't cure Stupid."

He may be many things, including an inveterate Rush-hater (the band, not the OxyMoron) -- but a troll is certainly not one of them!!
