Like Maher said, some have made up a President to run against,
or to talk down based on their imaginary conclusions based on
barely nothing.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama on Friday scrapped his administration's controversial plans to tighten smog rules, bowing to the demands of congressional Republicans and some business leaders.

Obama overruled the Environmental Protection Agency — and the unanimous opinion of its independent panel of scientific advisers — and directed administrator Lisa Jackson to withdraw the proposed regulation to reduce concentrations of ground-level ozone, smog's main ingredient. The decision rests in part on reducing regulatory burdens and uncertainty for businesses at a time of rampant uncertainty about an unsteady economy.

cold blooded.

Not all of us are doing well. Some people are still struggling. Some still have no health care, some have no job, some have lost help from programs like LIHEAP and Pell..

Why would you want to marginalize their "concerns"? Are they not legitimate? Are there standards? When is it ok to question? When is it ok to complain? Is there some rule book I missed?

Folks like the current white Men running for the office of the President
who want White America to blame Black Americans and the First Black President
for 30 years of White men’s policies that has kept 99% of White People poor.

I'm sure some regulations probably are outdated.

Some regulations are don't make sense or are outdated. I thought it was good that he said that; takes away one of the GOP's shrieking points.

There are regulations on the books that are ridiculous.

In California, we used to have lawyers who specialized in filing lawsuits against this or that industry for violating some regulation passed way back when. It was ridiculous. The lawyers made some money, but the regulations they were "enforcing" were no longer relevant to our society.

So, that's what Obama is considering. He made it clear that he was not going to reduce environmental standards or that kind of important regulation.

Another point about regulation. Sometimes something like spilling milk may, if serious enough, violate a law or regulation that was written more recently and is a more effective enforcement tool. The earlier, less effective, regulation needs to be taken off the books.
