All jokes aside, what should be imprinted on the sides of the coin should it actually be minted.

I personally think there should be multiple coins of different sizes. An Iraq coin, with its value being whatever the total cost of the war cost.

Afghanistan coin, its value based on the monetary cost of the Afghanistan War.

How about a coin for Medicare part D?
