Map Toon: The United States of Paranoia

From today's Sacramento Bee. Basically a more detailed, modern update to that '80s toon "The World According to Reagan".

Hmm. The "Heartland where decent hard-working Americans toil" includes some blue areas including Colorado (which recently legalized pot) and Minnesota...oh wait, Minneapolis is in the "Socialism Belt" along with Madison, Milwaukee, "ChicagObama", and "Debt"roit. I wonder how liberal non-Minneapolis Minnesota is, I know that Duluth is a liberal area (that's where Bob Dylan was born, and it's in a blue House district, MN-8).

The "Labor Union Thugs" all live in northern Wisconsin and Michigan, but the real "Socialism Belt" is in the major cities? Hmm.

West Virginia and Kentucky technically weren't real Confederate states because they didn't formally secede.

Yesterday's Ohman toon was funny too.
