Why is it OK for progressives of means to shop with right-wing corporations?

We boycott Whole Foods because the CEO is a right wing asshole.

Yet every single firearms and ammunition manufacturer in the US is helmed by what, Ben and Jerry?

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel ordered city pension funds to divest any current investments away from gun manufacturers on Monday, the Chicago Tribune reports:

"We're going to divest of any investment in any gun manufacturer," he said.

He said he would lead a charge of mayors across the country urging them to do the same.

Just means they aren't liberal progressives. Not that they would admit it on the outside, but deep down, it gnaws at you.
For a true liberal that pain would outweigh any monetary or product gain.
