one doesn't have to travel very far on the internet to find some very angry slightly unhinged people

It's not a good idea, unless you're specifically interested in fomenting some stochastic terrorism and/or assassination.

Not Sure How To Say This

But one doesn't have to travel very far on the internet to find some very angry slightly unhinged people for whom gun ownership and fetishization is a major part of their identity. I do not think bringing the president's daughters into this conversation in any way was a good idea.

I'm not kidding when I say their actual goals probably include intimidation, stochastic terrorism, up to and including inciting assassination. Events of the last couple months have convinced me that the NRA leadership is a bunch of thugs, who function as a sales and marketing operation for gun manufacturers.
