Q. Who would Ron Paul and his supporters be the most likely to throw their support behind?

A) Mitt Romney
B) Newt Gingrich
C) Barack Obama
D) None of the above! Ron Paul Uber Alles!

Serious question--where do those supporters go? Do they even stay in the GOP? Do they even vote?

He even had a big press conference with a whole bunch of third party candidates--Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, and Baldwin. Bob Barr was invited to intend, but did not as he was going to share a stage with "someone like" Cynthia McKinney.

I was never sure what he meant by that, but I suspect it meant African-American.

he's so fringe-y he can afford to endorse outliers himself. But he is Republican and votes with Repubs more than 90% of the time.

For Paulbots, history begins and ends with Ron Paul. Trust me, I work with a Paulbot. He bores everyone with endless speeches in support of Ron Paul, telling people to go to Paul's website, etc. .

A few may vote for Obama and a few might vote for anyone but him, but the vast majority will sit out the election. Ron Paul has a freakish cult.

the first thought (after my uneasiness) that crossed my mind was: The GOP convention could quite possibly be, an entertainment experience to see.

Serious question--where do those supporters go?

Seriously: The fiscal segment will probably stick with the GOP.

The civil-liberty segment would normally gravitate towards Obama; however, NDAA, could push some of them away. To those who look at yeahs and nays, Obama is just another yeah--neutralizing it. But those who grew up watching too much TV, think the President calls those shots. Still, soft nod to Obama.

And finally, we have the anti-war segment. I don't know...I think if that is my sole issue...I would have to consider sleeping-in.

I'd prefer they just not vote or vote third party, but the fact is that many of them hate Obama (in no small part that he's not white) moreso than they believe the ideals of Ron Paul. The ones on my FB are by and large economic and political conservatives-to-arch-rightists but socially democratic. They simply feel they have more in common with Romney than "TEH SOSHULIST" (pffffffft, if only).
