DUers in Texas/ Louisiana affected by the storms, flashflooding & Tornado warnings/watch - You OK?

We had a tornado warning around 3 PM CST. Now under severe t'storm warnings/ tornado watch until 5:30/9 PM. Lots of rain! Haven't gone out to check my area. I'm in for the night.

Still t'storming here. Still rumbling and lightning. (Vernon Parish)

Hope everyone in the affected areas are OK.

but we're deeply grateful for that half inch of partly cloudy we got in the form of heavy rain and a dusting of snow.

I hope everybody is OK and the damage is minor.

Everything is ok in south Houston, at least where I'm at. We got dumped on between about 11-1 but didn't even lose power. I think San Antonio got hit worse overnight.

I'm OK. Yard flooded but it always floods during a hard rain.

I saw storm pictures of Texas on the news and I just hope everyone is OK.

Storm is moving across Louisiana.

While this rain is much appreciated, the lake and water sources are still below where they should be. We'd need a lot more long rains like last night/today to overcome a 2-year drought.

drenched and diverted due to flooded roads, but no problems for me personally. Two of my coworkers had their dwellings inundated by water coming in either at ground level or through the roof, though, so ... yikes.

We had a tornado watch this morning but I forgot all about it till I read your subject line. It really isn't good to be so jaded.

We've had years of stupid drought, with and rivers and streams now looking like sad shadows of themselves... then suddenly, BOOM!... inches-deep mini-lakes everywhere. And I do mean everywhere.

Texas being 800 miles across both ways. It didn't actually get to flood stage where I am, but the stock ponds filled up partially. They look like ponds instead of mud holes.

even happier that the ravines didn't flood, though at my house the water was 6 inches from the top when the rain stopped. I can't remember the last time I saw a rain this forceful.
