You know what really irritates me is that we have to deal with stupid people.

I'm talking about every breed of republican, from teabaggers, birthers, truthers, politicians, million moms, gun nuts, freeps, etc., etc.

I'm sick of these useless human beings.

For they think the same about you, and the term they use is useless eaters.

And it is attitudes like that, on both sides of the political divide, that sets countries up for real horrible acts, like genocide.

Don't become that which you hate.

I sometimes wonder if Authoritarians in both parties will ever figure out what divide and conquer looks like.

When someone you really care about starts talking like they have head trauma level brain damage it's disturbing.

I fervently wish it were that simple, that all of them were just dumb. I know physicians and engineers, educated people who believe stuff politically that's profoundly and demonstrably stupid.

I consider that (maybe) half-smart. I used to work in computers, which business is just littered with simple-minded libertarians who think personal liberty means the right to exploit other people economically (really, that's what it's about, being able to do that), not to mention the Randians, so I know just what you mean.

was scanning through the posts and I was thinking back to when I joined and we are still talking about the same issues. I can only hope that smarter progressive people out live the ones (in power) that are holding our country back.

What I would really like is solar on every home and business. Cars, etc., that go 100 plus miles a gallon or on batteries. I could go on, but I think you all get it.

Democrats have done their fair share of holding all of those things and more back from progressing. It's what happens when corporations are allowed to buy power and influence with both parties. That is why it is becoming increasingly common to refer to our system of government as two party/same corporate master system of government.
