Sweet Baby James

I really enjoyed James Taylor's inclusion in the cerebration today. Maybe just because he is from "my era", but he looked genuinely proud and excited to be there.

It took a little getting used to, seeing him as a balding older man. I guess when he comes up on my iPad I still picture him with long hair! But he still has beautiful blue eyes and a voice that I could listen to all day. Thank you Obama for having him there~

I'll never forget about 15 years ago going to a JT concert w/my husband and a coworker who brought his family. And at the end of the concert his daughter approx 12 at the time was crying. When we asked Casey why she was crying, she said it was because she had such a good time and James Taylor was so old he might die before she had the opportunity to see him again. Naturally, that made us all feel very old. But here we are well over a decade later with Casey in her late 20's and JT still going strong. I hope she got to watch him today.
