Rave reviews for self-described Republican Kelly Clarkson's inauguration contribution

It isn't being mentioned much in the rave reviews of her inauguration-stopping rendition of 'America,' from the steps of the Capitol on Monday afternoon, but Kelly Clarkson is a rarity among Hollywood celebrities — a Republican.
The Texas-bred former American Idol winner, who backed Ron Paul before he dropped out of the Republican presidential race last year, got a handshake and a peck on the cheek from President Obama after her performance at the inauguration. She later tweeted a photo of herself and the president that she called "maybe the coolest photo I've ever been in."

Or some other uninformed bullshit.

She came out for Ron Paul, the found out he is against gay rights. So she voted for Obama for that one issue. I just think people in the lime light should know what the fuck they are talking about before coming out on one side or the other of politics when one side is a bunch of demented asswipes hellbent on destroying the country.

So she's really a republican (who planned to vote libertarian), but likes one of the democrats issues, ignoring the rest, I guess, so she will just call herself an Obama republican?

No, she should have just came out and said, "I was a fucking fool to come out for libertarians or republicans. Now I know better and am for Obama." Instead of trying to pull Obama into her half-witted knowledge of politics. Obama republican. Yeah right.

Stick with singing Kelly. You are fantastic to watch and I thank you for it.

They're the ones who think American Military Supremacy is vital and the only way to be. Kick ass. Nothing else mattered to them.

I'm guessing many republicans are sick of the tea bagger crazy. It's what has dominated their party for the past three years.

And Sara Palin.

Back to auto-tune pop land for her.

Does that mean she wants to kill us all? Coz I'm pretty sure the republicans do.

I think Kelly is very misinformed. I don't think she shoud speak about politics until she does her homework.

was she really just ok? I didn't see it but have always thought she sings beautifully and I love the power in her voice.

a winner. So much power in her voice. I think I watched one other season after that. I never vote for those online things like that.

I've seen her here and there since then and she still seemed to be quite powerful but looking for her look. She seemed out of place in some of her video's. It didn't fit. Like her look was trying to be too cool, when she was not. I think she has come back to being herself but haven't seen her recently so I'm not sure of that.

I think she looks like a good ol country girl who's family is probably republican and she knows little about politics personally.

and should probably stick to singing until she does.

Gnome saying?

She sounds to me just like the female vocalist in a bar band you can hear any weekend. Nice voice but nothing special. Beyonce was much much better.
