Boy Fights Back, Punches Would-Be Kidnapper

GROVE CITY, Ohio --

A young boy fought back when he said a man tried to lure him into a vehicle while he was on his way home from school.

Brady McNeil, 11, said he was walking home from Park Street Intermediate School Wednesday at about 4:30 p.m. when a man pulled up alongside him on Girbert Street near Anna Avenue in Grove City.

McNeil said the man exited a vehicle and approached him.

"He got out and he started walking towards me and said, 'Can you get in my car and I said no,'" McNeil said.

McNeil said he kept walking, and the man continued to approach him.

"He made a move to grab me and I punched him in the nose with my left hand," McNeil said.
