Ralls is a tasteless cartoonist who frequently includes significant factual errors in his lambasting of the left.

He was for the resignation/impeachment of President Obama and against his re election.

He hates the Democrats as much as he hates the Republicans and frequently complains of their hypocrisy which is ironic because

HE had no problems appearing on Hannity and Colmes and KFI (America's largest right wing radio broadcast station) and picking up a big fat check.

Eventually the Village Voice and other left publications dropped him because of his careless approach to things like facts and his bigoted slurs.

When I'm reading toons online I don't bother looking him up -- unless n2doc has him in his own lineup, because i read everything by n2doc!

but he has a point, even if you prefer not to see it.

Ralls has dirty dirty hands by taking money from Fox and KFI.

He has a deep hatred of the President.

He is a fucking liar about 20% of the time, but for many as long as he is trying to stick in the eye of our leaders he must be golden.

The fact is that very liberal publications who know him very well no longer publish him.

I remember a previous thread in which you unburdened yourself of your antipathy toward Rall, saying he wasn't funny. I like his work while usually finding him more pointed than funny. This toon of his was an exception -- it made me laugh out loud.

He becomes the 'authority' for Hannity when Hannity wants to show how President Obama is despised by the left.

As far as I can tell Ted Rall is the first person who, days after Inauguration in 2009, called for the President to be removed from office.

He is the left wing version of a birther trying to undermine the legitimacy of the President, all while picking up a check from the right wing media who share his goals.

Fortunately virtually all of the medial on the left got tired of his loose use of facts in his cartoons and he is no longer commercially viable.

I do agree with you that his cartoons rarely are funny its just that in making his points he usually doesn't have the facts to back it up.

The real humor in this is that Ted Rall is accusing the Democratic Party in selling out when he is the 'leftist on call' for reactionaries when they want someone to spout off about how evil President Obama is, something he does gladly for a paycheck.

The Dem party apparatchik is lucky their base

1. Is not dying off, and
2. Is willing to go to the polls in exchange for a few crumbs, and get punched in the face on workers rights, health care, perpetual war, unwarranted incarceration, environmental issues, Don Siegelmann, corporatization of public schools, failure to enact some gun control, pot prosecutions, and Reganomics. I wonder how long the party can piss on its rank-and-file and remain viable.
