If he's got the cojones to put up with the harassment (you're right about that part), then I guess a restaurant owner would have the right to refuse service to Limbaugh.

It's a weird site. They seem to think that having one mildly amusing idea is enough to make a story. Everything on there reads like a first draft that needs a few more rewrites in order to "funny it up".

The art of satire does include being ridiculous and silly. The low-brow Onion often publishes article which are outlandish, and by my tastes very broad. Their giddy wink-wink frat-boy tone is an amateur attempt at comedy.

Good satire means coming as close to the truth as you possibly can while finding room to exaggerate and ridicule.

The Daily Currant achieves this delicate balance, but it does it in a way that is so surgical and precise that some less intelligent readers may find it hard to spot.

The Onion is for people who love Two and a Half Men.

The Daily Currant is for people who prefer Gervais's Office The Larry Sander's Show, The Thick of It, etc.

Verisimilitude is the mark of a good comedian. Corny silliness is the mark of a bad one.

Don't blame the comedian if the jokes fly over your head. Get yourself an education, pick up a newspaper, or start watching the BBC rather than MSNBC or Fox News. Then you'd understand the references.

I was howling with delight as I read this story. That manager and the owner make a lot of sense. I wish more restaurants saw the inherent value in this and had the strength to do what this restaurant did. Who knows if we're lucky Limbaugh and his ilk will be stuck eating at the same five restaurants forever!

He's far too much of a gentleman to speak like that in public, and really too gentle to get into a confrontation with anyone.

Rush is a very multicultural guy though, so it's not surprising that he's going to different ethnic restaurants. But that said, I'm pretty sure he practices a strict vegan diet, so he may not have had many menu choices there.
