fortunate enough to meet Hillary and Bill in a significant (not in passing) way. Little did I know way back in '80 that they would go on to such heights of public service. It has been remarkable to watch.

governor and he lost. Unfortunately, I basically became disillusioned not by Bill's loss but with life in general (the details of which are inappropriate for this post) and ended up pulling a 180 after getting involved with the wrong people, not bad necessarily, just wrong. Got into and out of drugs for a time, stumbling from one relationship and job to the next. Bill and Hillary went on to greatness, not giving up after that loss and taking a profoundly different course than this promising young man with whom they had dined. I should have held on to the inspiration that they espoused in me back then. I'm certainly not anyone they would have kept up with and would now call a long-time supporter and friend. But I could have been. I had their phone number for God's sake.

Hindsight is a bitch.

I'm good now, btw.

Screw the PoliCelebs--your life counts, too. Whether you really accept that or not.

I don't mean rumors etc. Just curious as to which one impressed you the most.

has an intense way of listening to what you're saying. But when she spoke it wasn't frivolous. She has certainly opened up in a huge way over the years.

Bill was the enthusiastic, energetic salesman and exuded charisma. You couldn't help liking him. He was sharp as a tack and knew the issues.

Don't really have any stories to tell except that I co-hosted a two-day visit and after that they went on to greatness while I survive in mediocrity. When they got knocked down, they got back up. And I'm not the least bit jealous and love and respect the both of them more so now as public servants than I did then supporting them in their gubernatorial aspirations. It has been fascinating to watch, albeit from afar.
