get away with what they do. They are terrified of competition (irony personified) because they know they would lose, so they buy legislative exemptions and call it good for the game.

And it's needed or you would have teams constantly moving, constantly changing ownership it would create a mess if it weren't there.

It doesn't prevent someone else from forming a professional football league and competing with them.

bonds, taxes etc to build new stadiums and what not. If the owners want a new stadium, pay for it yourself and make the fans pay for it.
Leave the rest of us alone.
