We need to tax wealth, not income.

And, where we tax income, we have to do so far more progressively.

Hand's off the middle class!

Congress created the income tax to finance the Civil War in 1862. The Confederate states also had an income tax.

I'm not an economist, but I think a true progressive tax code with some exemptions for the poor and middle class, and none of the current corporate welfare and perks for the 1% like upper limits on medicare and SS would be a great start. It's too easy to hid shady backroom deals in the 20,000 page monstrosity we currently have.
