I don't remember any Olympic athletes grinding away with one hand wedged in their crotch. Of course, there are some events I don't get a chance to watch. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Beyonce's act was an abomination. When the smoke finally cleared from the premature pyrotechnics, it was quite clear this was going to be an electronic mashup -- a grand follow on to Lip Sync Extravaganza from MLK's birthday party in DC. Her first song was barely more than a series of grunts with her writhing around on stage, televised with bizarre '60s-styled overhead shots of her wiggling on stage -- electronically replicated, as if one Beyonce was not enough. Cue the "backup singers" who were merely Beyonce knockoffs doing the same strip club routine.

Finally, we get the Destiny's Child reunion and a brief breath of entertainment. Too little, too late

No, not good.

This is why I watch about 1 in 5 Super Bowl half time shows. Awful, awful, awful.
