Announcers on the radio blamed Beyonce for the power outage at the Super Bowl

Unbelievable.

I was in my car on my way home from a Super Bowl party, listening on the radio. I have no idea who these announcers are but they said the outage was probably due to Beyonce's half time show.

Obviously no IQ test required to be a sports announcer on the radio.

I've worked at huge concerts and the juice does have its limits. The more acts perform the more shakey it becomes, the bigger the need for juice of an act the bigger the risk.

Her show did use a lot of juice so technically I guess it's possible. No need to get upset over a meaningless comment.

Although Beyonce herself would not be to blame, I am sure she did not create her own light show. The people who did design the stage setup for her show may well be partially responsible however, the infrastructure was also not great to begin with so the owners of the dome likely hold responsibility as well. I expect next year they will scale back on the amount of juice they use for the halftime show.

I almost wish I had my tv hooked up so I could watch now, the power outage interests more than the game.

They learned from Janet just how damaging nip slips were so in case of said nip slip the lights would go off to protect the children from the first thing they played with in life. In America we protect the children from the deadly nip slip, guns, not so much.
