my wife and I watch High Chaparall re-runs. On commercials they say it is Parent Television Council approved, yet at least one person gets shot each show. Violence is okay, swearing or sex is not. The puritans are crazy.

He'd just won the superbowl for crying out loud! It's going to be harder and harder for the prudes to keep censoring the least little curse word in this country. It's just become too mainstream anymore. For most people they have to be being careful not to let something "inappropriate" slip anymore.

The prudes complaining about it were probably screaming at the "fucking" TV during some of the more exciting plays during the game, anyway, so I'm sure, if the kids were even still watching, that the word wasn't new to them!

It's common and a part of most peoples vernacular in this country anymore. At some point they're going to lose their war with language. Too many people simply are not offended by such things anymore.

Now that I've seen the clip I can say, Flacco's going to be fading the heat for a comment he thought was made to his team mates in private. It's not even as if he in anyway said it where he thought people were going to overhear.

I'll guarantee you're right, too. Many of the homes where the people most offended by this slip live were witness to this very word being used in them tonight during the game.

How many seconds of Super Bowl advertising will cover any fines?

Flacco earned that by putting his ass on the line, getting chased by guys weighing as much as 300 pounds trying to plant his head into the turf. CBS brass are just siphoning profits off the sweat of others.

I'm now feeling sorry for him. He was surrounded by his team and I'm sure thought their words were between just them. He just hit a major high point in his sport and career, and now he's going to have do deal with something as trivial as that bringing negative media attention on him.

I can say from experience with my high school and college teams that would be some of the cleanest stuff that would be said on the sidelines

Even at that level long ago much of the on-field talking during and even after a game would be considered X-rated by the media.
