but heck, Florida doesn't do it for me. I don't want to live somewhere where I have to watch out for pythons and aligators.

the freeze they had a couple of winters ago would stop them, but it just slowed down a little. With the warming the will end up spreading to Al and Ga etc. I could never figure out why they hunt them and capture and not just shoot them with a shot gun. If you've seen those reality shows of them hunting them they do get in the muck and are hard to get out.

but it did more damage to the indigenous wildlife, fish, birds, manatees, etc.

I think it should be open season on these snakes.
Give a decent bounty for each one, and keep it going until their numbers are reduced enough to let the native animals make a comeback.

Some enterprising sports bar owner needs to come up with a Superbowl snack, like Buffalo Python Rounds, and the problem will be solved.
