True the Vote files lawsuit against St. Lucie, FL Supervisor of Elections

A voter advocacy group has filed a lawsuit against St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections Gertrude Walker to inspect voting records from the District 18 race between ex-congressman Allen West and U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy.

True the Vote, a nonprofit which stems from a Texas Tea Party group, said in a news release it was denied access to poll books, "voter credit" lists, felon files and other records while trying to perform its own audit of the District 18 race. The lawsuit cites the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 and the Florida Constitution to demand those documents.

True the Vote filed the lawsuit in federal court in Fort Pierce. Pamela Wohlschlegel, who heads the Palm Beach County Tea Party, joined True the Vote in the lawsuit.

"The clock is ticking on the opportunity for a comprehensive, outside audit of this recount," True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht said in a release. "Each passing day heightens the risk of critical documents being disposed of. If you thought voter fraud could erode America's confidence in elections, unchecked incompetence in the vote tabulation process will destroy all faith remaining in our systems."

This group intimidated people before, during and after the election here in St Lucie County. Just because their dear idiot Allen West got his a$$ handed to him, doesn't mean they get to keep bullying the court.
