I thought the most interesting one was the ethnic breakdown. We are often told that the vast majority of gun homicide victims are non-white gang members, but the numbers tell a different story, although it's disproportionate, 41% of people murdered with a gun were white. Furthermore, it's too bad they didn't cross reference that statistic with gender, I'm betting that the number of white women killed was not disproportionately underrepresented like white men. The most prevalent form of gun murder in white suburban-rural America is that which occurs as a result of domestic violence. Moreover, looking at gun deaths in general (not just murders), we know that the number of suicides by gun in suburban-rural America by white-males is disproportionate. The urban core might be the heart of gang murders with guns, but the suburbs-rural areas are where the soul of gun murders/deaths are: domestic homicide and suicide (suicide is an act of self-murder - it is almost always rooted in domestic issues). I would conclude by noting that accidental shooting deaths are also most likely disproportionate to the white suburban and rural areas.

Why does suburban-rural white-America think they are exempt from gun violence or that it doesn't matter if people have guns because "good people" with guns are immune?

I am all for having an digital billboard erected outside the NRA's Headquarters. So they can see the result of madness and their warped interpretation of the second amendment.
