Don't tell me using an assault weapon for insurance isn't using it.

We need to dispense with the transparently stupid argument that an assault weapon left unfired in a trunk or bag wasn't "used."

An assault weapon at a crime scene is an assault weapon that was used, whether it was fired or not. Maybe the perpetrator/maniac brought the assault weapon as insurance in case he needed to fight off police or outgun an estranged wife who might have bought a handgun. Maybe without that insurance he wouldn't have done what he did.
