I'm fucking SICK AND TIRED OF IT. I'm 47 years old and the unpleasant and hateful rise of the Christian Taliban has dominated 2/3s of American life. It's to the point when anyone tells me they're a Christian, I assume they are an intolerant bigot. That is wrong I know, I need to work on that. OTOH decent Christians need to stand up against their brethren AND stop with the defensive retort "but they are REAL Christians!!". Because yes they are real christians too

It's an expression of their shared humanism which I don't think needs to be kept behind closed doors. Obviously, the crowd is composed of individuals who recognize and practice different 'faiths' and religions. President Obama, for example, attended a 'Baptist' church most of his adult life. I think this particular event is an expression of celebration of unity among faiths and religions. It strains to argue against that.
