It is good to advise people and ask them to keep safe.

This said, it is also about getting people to buy things before the storm, whether you need them or not.

One can't watch aa local newscast without seeing the "newscaster" giving their opinion through facial expressions.
Nw has turned into opinion reports. Nothing is neutral reporting.

I got an 'alert' from the office saying they are delaying opening until 10am - and now it looks like this might be a run of the mill snowfall. I keep waiting for my phone to ring, again, saying we're back to regular office hours.

I think a lot less chicken little behavior on the part of the weather forecasters might be a good idea. Give people an idea of what could happen and keep them posted and stop with the stupid snow storm naming.

Having lived in that part of the country it would be more like......
Well stocked larder? Check.
Extra fire wood sitting on the cellar steps? Check.
Flashlight batterys? Check.
Candles and matches put out where you can find them? Check.
Full can of lawmore gas in the shed? Check.
Cars in the garage? Check.
Snowblower all checked out and facing OUT? Check.
Gas in the outdoor grill? Check.
Enough tunes and videos to last, at least until the power goes out? Check.
Trip to the liqueur store? Check.
Quick chat with the neighbors, at least to be sure we don't need to make one last trip to the liqueur store? Check.
Quick prayer to some anomalous god that it don't get bad enough that you get called into work. Or at least can solve the problem from home. Check.

Please be safe.
