because recently we've heard of hackers getting into the Federal Reserve, Twitter and now the Bush family e-mails.
I don't trust paying bills over the internet. I don't want to risk it. No matter how secure businesses say that their servers are - somehow - someone - somewhere - gets into them. And when a business is hacked - they (the business) really doesn't care that you are caught up in it either - they just apologize and let you deal with the consequences.
This is why the USPS is so important to keep intact.
I know I probably sound old fashion - but the USPS is still one place where I have some semblance of privacy. My understanding is it takes a search warrant to get into my mail.
I know that my mail still can be stolen or tampered with but........
Tampering with the U.S. mail is a crime, as is theft of the mail and tampering with mailboxes and receptacles holding mail. All crimes related to the U.S. Postal Service are covered under 18 USC Chapter 83.
Maybe this is another reason why the Repugs have been after the USPS. The busting of unions and getting at all that pension money is not enough. They also want another reason to invade our privacy. And we quietly sit by and let them slowly and insidiously do it to us.
