I'm certainly not in a position to offer an opinion (artistically) about what Bush's paintings say about himself, but they come across to me as very strange. I feel like he has an odd view of himself and the world he lives in, and is totally isolated and out of touch with reality.
The colors are bland and drab, perhaps a reflection of how he views himself. The shower one is especially odd, painted from the perspective of a third party behind him in the shower. He appears to be alone, but he's not--someone else is there capturing the moment.
His eyes reflected in the mirror are blank, empty. There isn't any life there.
I would guess that he isn't a very happy man, and considering his actions in office, he doesn't deserve to be happy. He has caused a lot of pain and suffering among the American people he was supposed to be serving, and has brought tragedy, destruction, and death to our shores as well as other lands.
Basically, a miserable person.
