"POLICE plan to use spy drones in the hunt for Rambo-style ex-soldier and policeman who has murder"

POLICE plan to use spy drones in the hunt for a Rambo-style ex-soldier and policeman who has murdered three people and vowed to kill again. (all of sub-headline)

Asked directly if drones have already been deployed, Riverside Police Chief Sergio Diaz, who is jointly leading the task force, said: “We are using all the tools at our disposal.”

The use of drones was later confirmed by Customs and Border Patrol spokesman Ralph DeSio, who revealed agents have been prepared for Dorner to make a dash for the Mexican border since his rampage began.

2. "Spy" drone seems to imply that they are not armed.

In my county, the Police are not allowed to carry weapons in their helicopters. How does a drone differ from that?

17. They aren't armed. They are reconnaissance drones.

You need to stop with the hysterical fearmongering.

When and if police use armed drones, THEN we can start bitching about them. Otherwise, I see no difference between reconnaissance drones and webcams on street corners: undesirable for those of us who like privacy, but not technically a violation of anybody's rights.

3. Does the alt-net really think the police should allow him to kill everyone on his list?

and not do anything to protect themselves?

Let him give himself up, go on trial, and in his case, I would vote not guilty for reasons of insanity.
Or he may get a jury and rule him not guilty.

BTW-is Dorner going to pay for all the taxpayer dollars he is costing California?

It's amazing, The same alt-media crucifying Jesse Jackson 3rd. care more about this killer,
than someone who didn't harm a fly. Simply amazing.

Hollywood can't write fiction stranger than real life.
But alt-media does every single day

imho

Arming them, meh, not too keen on that idea. That would be a first on American soil.

of Dorner, which apparently is "humanoid". You're kidding yourself if you think he'll be allowed to surrender alive.

7. Trouble is, this is a typical suicide by cops bullet.

Most assuredly he won't be taken alive.

But why should anyone else die because he wants to die?

Sad part is, someone will get rich off this story when they make the movie.

Thing is, before he killed anyone, he might have gotten justice.
Once he killed someone, there is no excuse and he can't get off just by suing someone for wrongful imprisonment or something.

But he could have.Nothing stopped him prior from securing movie rights and the normal
alt-media publicity, hire a big star (Denzel) and get the story out there.

Remember, Jesse James and Bonnie and Clyde and Al Capone were killers.
not people to idolize.

BTW, to the alt-media-

if people are against war killings or collateral damage from drones, then all killings should not be tolerated.
A pacifist doesn't tolerate any at all. There are no exceptions.
Once you make one exception, well, later don't go on any other issue and think there shall be any credibilty on anything else.

IMHO

He should have pursued peaceful means for his vindication, if he's accurate.

Now, he will end up dead either by his own hands or by a LEO agency.

15. I must have missed something. Are "Drones" the new boogeyman?

They're a tool, like anything else. If they're being used to scope out Granny Smith's back yard for her medical marijuana plant, that's a bad use. If they're being used to look for a murderer at loose in a remote area not easily accessed by people and vehicles, yeah, that makes sense to me.

I'm not feeling the SKYNET-level panic over this deal.
