Cleveland: Teen charged in 16-year-old girl's death

"CLEVELAND -- Cleveland police have charged a teen with aggravated murder connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl on the city's west side.

The 16-year-old boy was taken into custody in the 3400 block of West 88th Street.

Investigators say the victim, Jennifer Zacarias of West 102nd Street, and the suspect knew each other. Officers on the scene say the teen confessed. The two were described as boyfriend-girlfriend."

The victim is a niece of a family friend. She broke up with her boyfriend, who came over to her house and shot her three times, once in the head, once in the neck, once in the chest.

This could be blamed on a lack of mental healthcare. Those teenagers who exaggerate the significance of failed relationships (i.e., all of them) should be drugged with prescription medications.

Or it could be blamed on a violent videogame, which portrays effective methods of dealing with disappointment using violence (which one?).

Or possibly the failure of inner-city family support. Or crises of faith.

Or possibly TOO MANY FUCKING HANDGUNS.

Taking the gun out of his/her hand.
Revamping the nations gun laws coupled with a massive overhaul of our mental health care, ending this failed war on drugs would go a long ways to reducing the gun violence in our country.
