Everything going on now is dog and pony show. I fear our best hope is that Kerry curbs some of the worst aspects of the deal.

I'm sorry, but the last thing we need right now is a whole bunch of Sad Sams and Debbie Downers out there spewing their crap out there.

there is good reasoning behind the disappointment in our posts. Bill Clinton has been pushing for Dems to accept the Keystone deal the last few months since the election. Hillary was ready to sign the deal 4 years ago. Nothing has changed, except the left pushed back hard and Hillary didn't want to lose support from the left for the next primary.

Any claim that the 'decision' hasn't been made is pure political CYA - it was always a State Dept. decision and there is no way Hillary spent the last 4 years 'studying' the review process and could not reach a decision. She and Bill were always for it, Bill is STILL selling it to DC Dems and lawmakers, and the MSM will be there to remind Obama how much the WH is perceived to owe them both for the outcome of the election.

Now, of course, I'll grant you that stranger things have happened before, so I guess we'll see.

Most indications suggest that Keystone isn't likely to go through, at least not in its entirety. You also may have forgotten that Kerry is our new SecState now, and he's a lot friendlier to us than he is Big Oil.

sign it so Clinton would be protected politically for the primary. All we CAN hope for is that Kerry will curb the most onerous aspects.

Only problem is, we're not the only customers. There's also China and several other countries.....
