12-Year Old Student Arrested After Email Warning Of Mass Shooting

California student in custody after email warned of mass school shooting
February 10, 2013

A 12-year-old student has been arrested by California police after he allegedly sent an email to a school administrator that warned of a mass shooting.

The email threat, sent on Thursday, said that on Monday, Feb. 11, 23 students and a teacher at Twin Peaks Middle School in Poway would be shot, according to a San Diego County Sheriff’s Department release. The email mentioned numerous guns and 3,000 rounds of ammunition.

Detectives identified a student at the school as the possible email sender and served a search warrant at his house on Saturday, seizing several computers, rifles and handguns.

Why would a shooter warn of a shooting? Thank god he did, but that is odd. If not for the warning, tomorrow would've been a horrendous day..

boast about their intentions. Sort of a Catch me is you can...sometimes its a way to want someone to stop what they won't or don't think they can take responsibility for.
