(22,144 posts)the hobbyist or cops to trace. If it goes down on your property, but it in a steel container, preferably one that is grounded. Any tracing signal would then be blocked.

(45,851 posts)I don't know anybody that flies RC who hasn't smashed up multiple planes in the process, I'd be willing to bet most of those drone losses come from equipment failure and/or operator error and not being taken out by ground fire or jamming.
You might recall it was a big story when Iran evidently knocked down a drone not that long ago and then recovered it.
