He flies his damn copter all over breaking curfews, the elite here have all kinds of toys and might lend them to the LAPD -- to get rights to the story.

I was neutral about drones, but after following the discussion on DU and in the media over the past week, I'm becoming more and more disturbed by the implications.

the hobbyist or cops to trace. If it goes down on your property, but it in a steel container, preferably one that is grounded. Any tracing signal would then be blocked.

I don't know anybody that flies RC who hasn't smashed up multiple planes in the process, I'd be willing to bet most of those drone losses come from equipment failure and/or operator error and not being taken out by ground fire or jamming.

You might recall it was a big story when Iran evidently knocked down a drone not that long ago and then recovered it.

I love RCing; it's harder now that I'm in the city. My granddad made me an RC jet when I was a kid. It wound up in the drink

The level of enemy involvement in our drone losses is a topic of considerable discussion.

If you leave it on at all time, it would be more discoverable. Random times and durations would better simulate system glitches.
