Right after the State of the Union Address, tomorrow night. It's past my bedtime, but I'll make an exception, for him.

(10,745 posts)I'm not so worried quite so much about the impacts on climate(and yes, it has been exaggerated before, btw, particularly by one James Hansen, but that doesn't change my opposition to it.), as I am the potential of the damage to the environment if something happens; Keystone XL won't induce "runaway" anything in terms of climate change, as Jim Hansen claimed once, but a spill damn well could poison huge swaths of the Ogallala aquifer.
The President needs to be reminded, at least, of the climate commitments he laid out in the inaugural address.

(26,286 posts)It's a live call, but it's more of a 'pump up the troops' kind of event. He did one, shortly after the election, to thank the people who campaigned for him, and there were around 35,000 of us, on line. But it's still pretty cool to have any kind of 'live' contact.
I wish they would do one where you could ask questions. I have the same major concern as you, when it comes to Keystone.
