7 rounds of CS is complete overkill, I have stated I have no problem with apprehension, or even shooting him during a dynamic breach, if he was a threat. Burning out a secured location is not even remotely in any SOP.. for a reason.

Sorry, I don't buy the right wing notion that the ATF burned the Branch Davidians alive. They set their own fires, and murdered their children by keeping them in that fire.

There is minimal snow - it's already melted. Fortunately it's also about 32F.

They told about how if there's any chance of him being there the firefighters couldn't go.

It's improbable that this will lead to any kind of major forest fire.

Under any normal definition of the term, the ground is "wet". It's certainly wet enough to prevent a fire from spreading.

And even if it's not, you can be sure that CalFire already has a crew on standby. The odds of this spreading into anything major is tiny.
